　　這是一部根據(jù)發(fā)生在日本的一個真實故事改編的。影片講述了一只叫八公的秋田犬在快遞過程中被遺失并偶遇男主人公帕克教授。每天早上八公都會送教授去車站，然后就自行回家，下午5點再準時的去車站等教授一起回家，可是突然有一天，八公怎么都不肯跟著教授出門，因為要上班，教授還是出門了，著急的八公叼了一個球追著教授去車站。第一次也是唯一一次，八公肯叼球了，教授因此很高興，但八公不肯回家，還賴著教授要一起玩，教授終于還是上了車。八公跑到站臺上，看著火車在自己眼前一點點變小、消失，眼里流露出難過的哀傷。
