"Grandma, grandma, look at the calendar. Why not?" I stood at the edge of the calendar, pretending to be strange and asked loudly, with an indescribable smile on the corner of my mouth. Then, I heard the footsteps of grandma. Grandma took a look at the calendar and immediately understood. She reached out and gently pulled my little face: "you little devil, you are tearing the calendar again!" Laugh no longer cant help, secretly galloping out.
Memory back to happy childhood, I always secretly tear off a page of calendar every day, and then happily look forward to grandmas slightly angry appearance when she found out. At that time, the sound of the calendar gently torn apart was as wonderful as the popsicle in summer.
Now, it seems that the happiness has not passed for a long time. Learning is like a huge rift valley between my grandmother and me. Its always a long time before I can go back to grandmas house once.
With the roar of the car, the car stopped in front of grandmas house. Before I got out of the car, I saw grandma rush out of the inner room.
She leaned against the door frame and rubbed her hands back and forth on the apron. "Come back, kid!" Grandma called me loudly, her face full of happiness and satisfaction.
I picked up a few bags of fruit and got off the car. My grandmother took them all at once. She didnt leave any of them. She couldnt see the weight of the bag in her hand at all. She said directly in her mouth, "girl, please sit down and have water to drink." Then he put the fruit on the table and went to get me something to eat.
Maybe I havent been back to grandmas house for a long time, but Im a little restrained. I dont know what to say, so I just stand in the room and look around aimlessly.
Suddenly my eyes fell on the calendar, eh, whats the matter? Its the day before yesterday. "Grandma, look at the calendar. Why not?" This is the same sentence, but at this time, I am really strange.
Grandma kicked and kicked over. After a long time, she suddenly looked up and said, "Oh, look at my memory. These days, I forgot to tear it up."
My heart sank suddenly. It seemed that something had been taken away suddenly, and a lot of pain poured in. I have never really felt grandmas aging. Grandma will not wait for me in the same place.
I grabbed her hand, tight. Looking at the calendar, tears like rain.
As I flipped through the pages of the calendar, my gaze fell upon the intricate designs and the changing scenes that depicted each month. It was not just a tool to keep track of days and dates; it was a tapestry of memories and anticipation.
Granny, sitting beside me, smiled at my curiosity. She reached out and traced the pattern of flowers on the May page with her weathered finger. "Remember when we planted those flowers in the garden?" she asked, her voice filled with nostalgia. I nodded, recalling the sunny afternoon when we had dug into the soil, laughing and chatting as the seeds were planted.
The calendar reminded me of the passing of seasons and the changes in our lives. Each month brought new experiences and new lessons. Granny pointed to the December page, decorated with snowflakes and a cozy fireplace. "Thats when we made gingerbread cookies together," she said, her eyes twinkling. I smiled, remembering the sweet aroma filling the kitchen as we rolled out the dough and cut out shapes.
But more than just memories, the calendar held a deeper meaning for Granny. It was a symbol of order and continuity in her world. She would mark important dates with a small red pen, whether it was a family birthday or an anniversary. These markings were her way of keeping the past alive and honoring the special moments in our lives.
As I looked at the calendar, I realized it was not just a paper tool; it was a bridge between the past and the future, a reminder of the precious moments we shared, and a promise of more to come. I thanked Granny for sharing her wisdom and her love through this simple yet profound object.
The calendar would continue to turn, and with each passing month, it would bring new stories and new lessons. But one thing would remain constant - the warmth of Grannys love and the memories we would cherish forever.
