　　現(xiàn)代奧運會創(chuàng)始人顧拜旦于1913－1914年間設(shè)計了奧運會的會旗，奧運會會旗和奧運會圣火的含義。它由5個奧林匹克環(huán)從左至右套接而成，可以是單色，也可以是藍、黃、黑、綠、紅5種顏色。最初的解釋是五種顏色代表各國國旗的顏色，后來又將5個不同顏色的`圓環(huán)解釋為五大洲的象征。1920年，奧林匹克旗第一次飄揚在安特衛(wèi)普夏季奧運會體育場。這屆奧運會后，歷屆奧運會開幕式上由上屆舉辦城市轉(zhuǎn)交此旗，由舉辦城市保存，比賽期間主運動場僅懸掛代用品。
