今天是新年的第一天，我們一家人去媽媽的老板家拜年。
It's the first day of the new year. Our family goes to my mother's boss's home for a new year.
老板家里可熱鬧了，除了有許多媽媽同事外，還來(lái)了許多外國(guó)朋友。媽媽將他們一一介紹給我認(rèn)識(shí)。我還碰到了媽媽的老朋友Bastler ，他是一個(gè)德國(guó)人，我用英語(yǔ)和他聊了幾句。Bastler還說(shuō)我的'英語(yǔ)有進(jìn)步了，我聽(tīng)了可開(kāi)心呢！最后，老板還給了我一個(gè)大紅包，我心理真是美滋滋的！過(guò)年真是太高興了！

Some of us helped clean the city park while some went to Children's Hospital to tell stories to sick kids to cheer them up. Some students sang songs for the old in the Home for the Elderly. I am good at telling stories so I went to the hospital with my classmates. Volenteer work is not only interesting but also necessary because we can show our love to people in need.

Aging of the Population
Population officials and demographers have muchto worry about China’s increasingly aging population. It is estimated that the proportion ofpeople aged 60 or older in China will rise to 11.8 percent in 20xx. By the middle of this century,people aged beyond 60 will take up 27.4 percent of the total population — that means one outof every four people will be senior!
The aging population poses a serious challenge to families and the society. On the onehand, with families becoming smaller and living pace escalating, it is even graver for families tocare for aged members adequately. On the other hand, aging causes a relative decline inworking force. Consequently, the productivity of the whole society will be affected to someextent.
The rapidity of the population’s aging has made it more urgent for the adoption ofcountermeasures. There is no doubt that the key is to build a solid economic foundation.Meanwhile, importance should be attached to overall social progress by changing the backwardsituation in social security, welfare and service. What’s more, family care and community-based services should also be encouraged.

"come," said the fisherman, "there is no need for so many words about it -- a fish that can talk i should certainly let go, anyhow," with that he put him back again into the clear water, and the flounder went to the bottom, leaving a long streak of blood behind him. then the fisherman got up and went home to his wife in the hovel.
"husband," said the woman, "have you caught nothing to-day?" "no," said the man, "i did catch a flounder, who said he was an enchanted prince, so i let him go again." "did you not wish for anything first?" said the woman. "no," said the man; "what should i wish for?" "ah," said the woman, "it is surely hard to have to live always in this dirty hovel; you might have wished for a small cottage for us. go back and call him. tell him we want to have a small cottage, he will certainly give us that." "ah," said the man, "why should i go there again?" "why," said the woman, "you did catch him, and you let him go again; he is sure to do it. go at once." the man still did not quite like to go, but did not like to oppose his wife, and went to the sea.
when he got there the sea was all green and yellow, and no longer so smooth; so he stood still and said,
