like mr. crabiel, i literally work tirelessly in many academic and leadership roles. i sl-ee-p no more than six hours a night because of my desire to expertly meet my many commitments. throughout my life, i have worked as long and as hard as i possibly can to effect beneficial changes in both school and society.
during the summer of tenth grade, i took a number theory course at johns hopkins university with students from alaska, california, and bogota, colombia. similarly, during the summer following eleventh grade, i was one of ninety students from new jersey se-le-cted to attend the governors school in the sciences at drew university. at drew, i took courses in molecular orbital theory, special relativity, cognitive psychology, and i participated in an astrophysics research project. for my independent research project, i used a telescope to find the angular velocity of pluto. with the angular velocity determined, i used einsteins field equations and keplers laws to place an upper bound on the magnitude of the cosmological constant, which describes the curvature of space and the rate of the universes expansion.
in addition to learning science, i recently lectured physics classes on special relativity at the request of my physics teacher. after lecturing one class for 45 minutes, one student bought many books on both general and special relativity to read during his study hall. inspiring other students to search for knowledge kindles my own quest to understand the world and the people around me.
as president of the national honor society, i tutor students with difficulties in various subject areas. in addition, i am ranked
number one in my class with an sat score of 1580 and satii scores of 750 in math, 760 in writing, and 800 in physics. in school, i take the hardest possible courses including every ap course offered at the high school. i am the leading member of the math team, the academic team, and the model congress team. in the area of leadership, i have recently received the rotary youth leadership award from a local rotary club, have been asked to attend the national youth leadership forum on law and the constitution in washington d.c., and wrote the winning essay on patriotism for south plainfields vfw chapter. currently enrolled in spanish 6,i am a member of both the spanish club and the spanish honor society. in addition, i recently was named a national merit scholar.

logistics in china is still in the first stage, its technology and theory are lagging behind those developed countries. i made up my mind to study in cardiff university out of my keen interest in management of logistics, looking forward to learn foreign country’s advanced technologies, and make improvement of the related field of logistics. i wish to learn values between different cultures and the way to deal with issues, which makes me think about the questions in different angles so that i could come up with different opinions and designs which will make the improvement of the existent system better in my country.
as the first british city to build upon friendship with china, cardiff has many in common with amoy. both of these two cities get costal harbors, well-developed tourism industry, hold the important status as the education center for colleges and universities with solid system for coexistent aeroamphibious transportation means.
so there’s a strong possibility for amoy to corporate with cardiff. they may exchange experience in port operation and tourism industry; in the aspect of higher education and scientific research, they may share some information; in city management, they may learn from each other.
study in british will make me get the related technologies to serve for the ports and logistics in amoy and cardiff. for example, i can make better use of logistics and its organization of amoy ports by learning from advanced logistics design and logistics appliance of cardiff ports, so that the working efficiency would be improved either.
learning management of city logistics will bring me a new vision to the city logistics system of amoy and cardiff, especially how light railway influences urban transportation. it will help me a lot how to plan and manage local transportation suppose i work in the urban transportation sector one day.
and study in cardiff will come to be precious experience for chinese students, i will try my best to push the communication among the students from cardiff and amoy, make further corporation between the colleges and universities in these two cities. i can give some necessary suggestions, do a little favor to the students who want to study in cardiff after me, and i would love to be a

experience different style of teaching mode
some courses in fju are taught in english. bilingual teaching can contribute to improving my english. before applying for fju, i had a plan to go abroad for further study. besides, i make friends with taiwanese and foreigners in fju. this exchange experience will absolutely help my future application for foreign school.
as for my major, i think i should have an international view. i major in journalism and communication in my original university, which decides i should broaden my horizon and increase my life experience. just as what i have said above, i make it in taiwan. i attend the academic seminar in fju, which called the new media and society. this seminar let me learn about new media deeply. and in it, i see the professors, who come from hong kong and macau,
express their opinions on this issue. i learnt that different situations and conditions between taiwan and mainland.
i have a chance to bring special characteristics of xi’an and
hangzhou to my friends in taiwan. at the same time, my friends in taiwan also introduce taiwan for me.
my hometown is hangzhou, while my school is in xi’an. both cities are the capital of zhejiang province and shaanxi province, respectively. i can introduce the features about cities to my friends and share
interesting things in our daily life.
2. experience in taiwan
taste different culture breath and diversity of lives in fju
this semester i took part in many activities and academic speeches, for instance, i went in for one day trip to ilan, taiwanese culture experiencing field trip, and so on, which are all hold by international student center. moreover, i join institute of foreign languages’s aerobics game. in this match, i learn that students in fju stick
together and work hard to perform well. i’m really appreciating of it and which gives me a good impression of the part of taiwan.
in taiwan, it is said that there is a snack shop every three steps and a restaurant every five, which i can’t agree more. these establishments serve all kinds of chinese food, from the roasted ducks, smoked chickens, lamb hotpot to the salty fried chicken with spices, honey ham and dry-fried eggplant, which stirs up my memories and tastes in my hometown.
i also go to many different places of interest. just take the sea of hua lian as an example, the scenery is fantastic and amazing to me, i like this special blue and the sky over the sea.
in addition, those beautiful places, i will never neglect the friends i met here in taiwan, i’m not going to flatter taiwanese but they’re really friend to me.
experiencing diversity of lives in fju while, i can also learn and see social features and ways of life in taiwan, i want to use my camera record everything in taiwan.
life in taiwan will be the most special and precious memories for me !

我是xx-x系汽車技術(shù)服務(wù)與營銷的xx-x，在這一年里我始終要求自己保持著積極向上的心態(tài)，時(shí)時(shí)以一個(gè)合格甚至優(yōu)秀的大學(xué)生的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來要求自己, 努力使自己做到全面發(fā)展,成為一個(gè)全面發(fā)展的大學(xué)生。本人認(rèn)為在各方面均符合學(xué)院三等獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的評選條件，故申請我校級三等獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金�，F(xiàn)將本人基本情況介紹如下，作為各位領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的評審參考：
一、 思想情況：
本人于2015年4月，我積極提交了入黨申請書，這學(xué)期我準(zhǔn)備競爭入黨積極分子。但是在平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)的過程中，我時(shí)時(shí)以一名正式黨員的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來嚴(yán)格要求自己，努力使自己在學(xué)習(xí)中做到最好. 在思想上我積極要求進(jìn)步，樹立了良好的人生觀和道德觀；保持與時(shí)俱進(jìn)，認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)黨的工作路線，正確貫徹黨的方針政策，時(shí)刻電視、網(wǎng)絡(luò)、報(bào)紙等關(guān)注著黨和國家的發(fā)展形勢，以及國內(nèi)外的局勢變化。 我認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)和貫徹“科學(xué)發(fā)展觀”和“八榮八恥”,時(shí)時(shí)以一名合格的大學(xué)生標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來要求自己.。
三、 學(xué)習(xí)情況：
我在過去的一年中取得的成績對一些人來說應(yīng)經(jīng)很好的了，可是這距離我心中的目標(biāo)還很遠(yuǎn)。因?yàn)橐恍┰蛭也荒芎退麄儽任镔Y生活和精神生活，然而可以和他們比學(xué)習(xí)成績，讓自己成為一個(gè)知識方面富裕的人 。第一學(xué)期除過英語聽說外 平均成績都85以上，班級排名第二，順利通過英語三級和計(jì)算機(jī)一級。第二學(xué)期有一些浮躁，在感覺每門功課還可以時(shí)，期末考試成績潑了我一瓢冷水，各門功課的成績下降了，平均成績降到了75分以上。在上學(xué)年綜合測評中我以總分 分排名第五，平均學(xué)分成績排名第四。所以我開查找自己的問題，爭取在這學(xué)年得到更大的進(jìn)步 。
四、生活情況：
因?yàn)榧彝ド罹硾r的原因 家里的給的生活費(fèi)只能勉強(qiáng)夠自己花多半個(gè)月，上一學(xué)年我申請到了勤工助學(xué)崗位可以補(bǔ)貼一下我的生活費(fèi)。這學(xué)期因?yàn)槌鲂律暾埖木壒剩瑸榱四軓浹a(bǔ)自己的生活費(fèi)用我這學(xué)期開始在外面做兼職以解解決家里的負(fù)擔(dān)。 我嚴(yán)以律己,寬以待人嚴(yán)格的以身作則。平時(shí)我積極和同學(xué)交流溝通，和同學(xué)融洽和睦地相處，積極幫助同學(xué)， 在這一年中，我在各個(gè)方面都獲得了巨大的進(jìn)步，學(xué)習(xí)成績和綜合素質(zhì)等各個(gè)方面都得到了很大的提高,。現(xiàn)將申請校級二等獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金.在此,我要特別感謝領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的大力培養(yǎng)和老師們在專業(yè)方面的深入指導(dǎo),以及同學(xué)們在工作和生活中給我的支持和幫助。在今后的日子里,我要以更加嚴(yán)格的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和要求來激勵(lì)自己、鞭策自己，以求有更優(yōu)異的表現(xiàn)。

我是來自生物學(xué)院研究生2015級生物醫(yī)學(xué)電子與信息技術(shù)的張曉娟，出生在農(nóng)村的我,爸爸媽媽是普通的老百姓,艱苦的日子,嚴(yán)格的管教,使我從小養(yǎng)成了艱苦樸素、感想敢做的良好作風(fēng);在班上與同學(xué)團(tuán)結(jié)互助,互相謙讓,不與人發(fā)生爭執(zhí)，和同學(xué)老師相處融洽。

like mr. crabiel, i literally work tirelessly in many academic and leadership roles. i sl-ee-p no more than six hours a night because of my desire to expertly meet my many commitments. throughout my life, i have worked as long and as hard as i possibly can to effect beneficial changes in both school and society.
during the summer of tenth grade, i took a number theory course at johns hopkins university with students from alaska, california, and bogota, colombia. similarly, during the summer following eleventh grade, i was one of ninety students from new jersey se-le-cted to attend the governors school in the sciences at drew university. at drew, i took courses in molecular orbital theory, special relativity, cognitive psychology, and i participated in an astrophysics research project. for my independent research project, i used a telescope to find the angular velocity of pluto. with the angular velocity determined, i used einsteins field equations and keplers laws to place an upper bound on the magnitude of the cosmological constant, which describes the curvature of space and the rate of the universes expansion.
in addition to learning science, i recently lectured physics classes on special relativity at the request of my physics teacher. after lecturing one class for 45 minutes, one student bought many books on both general and special relativity to read during his study hall. inspiring other students to search for knowledge kindles my own quest to understand the world and the people around me.
as president of the national honor society, i tutor students with difficulties in various subject areas. in addition, i am ranked number one in my class with an sat score of 1580 and satii scores of 750 in math, 760 in writing, and 800 in physics. in school, i take the hardest possible courses including every ap course offered at the high school. i am the leading member of the math team, the academic team, and the model congress team. in the area of leadership, i have recently received the rotary youth leadership award from a local rotary club, have been asked to attend the national youth leadership forum on law and the constitution in washington d.c., and wrote the winning essay on patriotism for south plainfields vfw chapter. currently enrolled in spanish 6,i am a member of both the spanish club and the spanish honor society. in addition, i recently was named a national merit scholar.
