Should Car's Fad Be Curbed
With the economic growth,improvement of people's standard of living, together with the lowering price of cars,there appears cars' fad in big cities.Although cars,as a symbol of great prosperity,make our life convenient,it is not practical for Chinese to get crazy on private cars.
The serious social problems brought by cars should not be overlooked. The pollution caused by autos is the most important problem at present. The buming of the gas produces a large arnount of poisonous gas,which destroys the ozone layer that protects us from the harmful rays.As a result,urban people tend to gave more odd cities suffer from traffic congestion.The traffic accident is another serious problem caused by cars.Statistics indicate that thousands upon thousands of people are killed or injured every year, and the number is on the rise.Moreover, more cars mean less space.This can only build up the pressure of large population and limited space.
Considering the above factors,I think private cars' fad should be curbed in big cities now.As a populous country, China should develop clean,convenient and fast public transportations.(189 words)

由汽車(chē)所帶來(lái)的`嚴(yán)重社會(huì)問(wèn)題不容忽視。由汽車(chē)造成的污染是目前最重要的問(wèn)題。汽油的燃燒會(huì)產(chǎn)生大量的有毒氣體，這些有毒氣體會(huì)破壞保護(hù)我們免受有害射線傷害的臭氧層。因此，城市的人們往往使更多的城市遭受塞車(chē)之苦。交通事故是由汽車(chē)造成的另一個(gè)嚴(yán)重問(wèn)題。統(tǒng)計(jì)表明，成千上萬(wàn)的人每年都在交通事故中死亡或受傷，而且數(shù)量仍在上升。此外，更多的車(chē)意味著更少的空間。這只能增加人口和有限空間的壓力。

How to Solve the Problem of Heavy Traffic
Nowadays,the urban traffic is getting increasingly heavy in China. The roads and streets are packed with cars,bicycles and pedestrians,and traffic jams and accidents have become commonplace.
The people and government have all realized that effective measures should be taken before things get worse.For example,the govemment should invest more in constructing new roads and repairing and maintenance of old ones,particularly those in busy areas of cities.Besides,more public bus routes and more subways should be opened up so that more people will take the public transportation instead of traveling by private cars or bicycles.At the same time,it is essential that stricter traffic rules and regulations be issued to strengthen traffic control and facilitate the normal and efficient running of all means of transportation.
With such efforts,I am confident that it will not be long before city traffic in China flows in a smoother and more efficient manner.(156 words)
現(xiàn)如今，中國(guó)的城市交通正變得越來(lái)越擁擠。道路和大街都塞滿(mǎn)了汽車(chē)、自行車(chē)和行人，堵車(chē)和交通事故已變得很普遍。
公眾和政府都意識(shí)到，在事情變得更加糟糕之前，應(yīng)該采取有效的措施了。比如，政府應(yīng)該在建設(shè)新的道路和修理并保養(yǎng)舊路上做更多投資，尤其是在城市的繁忙地區(qū)。另外，應(yīng)該開(kāi)通更多的公交車(chē)線路和地鐵，這樣更多人會(huì)用公交出行，而不是使用私家車(chē)或自行車(chē)。同時(shí)，頒布更嚴(yán)格的交通規(guī)則和規(guī)范，以增強(qiáng)交通管制并促使所有交通方式正常和有效的運(yùn)行，這點(diǎn)很重要。
